At Steve Madden, the Social Compliance Manager will manage Social Compliance program of monitoring, measuring and remediating our supply chain workplace conditions in support of Steve Madden Vendor Code of Conduct
* Manage audit remediation process by highlighting audit report issues to agents/suppliers and factories. * Drive sustainable action plans of root causes of social and environmental non-compliance through continuous improvement, training and capacity building. Leverage agent's services and direct access to factory management. Agree on specific time-bound improvement plans. * Review and remediate non-compliance of audits performed on factories based on customer requirements. Liaison between agent and customer to communicate corrective action plans and timeline of corrections with production factories. * Manage new vendor onboarding process. Educate vendors of CSR program requirements. * Oversee security audits, remediation and training to ensure factories are meeting requirements of C-TPAT. * Manage risk areas based on country, product category, volumes and Steve Madden expectations. Monitor and report assessment findings and remediation progress. * Keep abreast of trade and regulatory issues (CBP and forced labor) * Develop communication materials related to CSR initiatives to all internal and external audiences. * Provide expertise on CSR topics such as sustainability, safety, ethics and compliance. * Identify, collaborate and facilitate environmental practices to drive sustainability and build awareness. * Benchmark company CSR program compared to industry standards, trends and best practices. * Commercial acumen of a global supply chain. * Strong attention to detail, and follow up. * Respectfully handle sensitive and confidential information. * Strong planning, project management and coordination skills and ability to manage multiple projects. * Passion for social responsibility and sustainability with a broad appreciation and understanding of corporate social responsibility environmental issues, social responsibility and business management. * Strategic and analytical skills with capability to develop process improvements.
* Bachelor's degree * 5 or more years' experience of social responsibility and sustainability programs of a global supply chain. * Prior experience with the coordination and management of strategic CSR and sustainability related programs.
