Responsibilities


Management of Product Governance is an integral part of Citi's Risk Management, providing robust assessment, review and challenge and diligence in the new product approval process, in the risk management of existing (stock) products and services, product risk rating of initiatives and of stock (existing) products and services, ongoing monitoring, review, and risk ratings of future and existing products and service, as part of the end-to-end governance over product lifecycle. Citi's Product Approval and Governance processes consider both the diligence for approval and the requirements for on-going controls and management over the entire life of the product or service.

As part of self-identified and regulatory remediation efforts, Risk Management has set-up a Product Risk Transformation Group (PTG) to design, develop, test and implement firm-wide systems to support New Product Approval (NPA), New Activities, and Product Risk Monitoring (PRM) including Product Inventories, Product Risk Ratings and Ongoing Monitoring of Product Risk profiles. The various Risk Monitoring Governance Frameworks, business specific guidelines and workflow tools are supported by bespoke system developments.

The Product Risk Transformation Group will develop the change narrative for key internal senior management and external stakeholder groups, track and report on overall program progress and build business capabilities, draft business requirements and scoping documents, design process flow maps and ensure proper testing of workflow application tools to support the running of end-to-end product governance.

The Product Risk Transformation Group, with help of external consultants, will develop and implement enterprise-wide frameworks for identifying new and existing products, their respective product risk ratings and the ongoing monitoring requirements. The Product Risk Transformation Team is responsible for an end-to-end architecture for product delivery governance, including on-going monitoring of products risk rating at a product/service level across all lines of businesses globally. The Product Risk Transformation Group for Product Risk Governance is functioning within the Chief Operating Office of Independent Risk Management.

Job Description
  • The Product Risk Monitoring Testing Management – Global Lead will support all Citi business lines.
  • The individual will be working with business partners, various control functions and external consultants, to define, design and manage the implementation of the user acceptance testing plans, user acceptance profiles, integration testing plans, regression testing and data migration testing across the various Risk Monitoring Systems including but not limited to support of the New Product Approval Workflow Tool, New Activities Committee System Support Tools developed, Product Risk Management Monitoring Systems including Product Inventory, Risk Rating and Ongoing Monitoring.
  • The individual must design and develop testing plans with Technology colleagues, CDO partners and the various lines of business including MSS, TTS, CCB, CPB, BCMA, GCB and Treasury to identify which of the existing business, risk and controls infrastructure and processes can be leveraged or amended to enable products and services to undergo a transparent, consistent, rigorous, documented and auditable testing and review process, including the identification and evaluation of additional system design improvements to improve workflow efficiency, data integrity, user experience/useability of the system being tested.
  • The individual will lead by building consensus, particularly in the face of competing testing requirements. The Business Liaison-Global Lead also serves as a reviewer of Business Requirements/Scoping Iterative Documents for both waterfall and agile development to ensure effective and holistic testing plans.
  • The individual will manage the life cycle of User Testing and lead the management, reporting and resolution of testing issues across the Product Risk Governance systems.
  • The Product Risk Monitoring Testing Management - Global Lead also serves an integral part of the larger Product Governance Frameworks team. The team will work together to drive a consistent approach in creating the overall frameworks, with regular sharing of learnings and best practices between the project Frameworks partners, across the different business lines. The Product Risk Monitoring Testing Management -Global Lead reports into the Global Product Governance Frameworks Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with all business lines (MSS, TTS, CCB, CPB, BCMA, GCB and Treasury), Chief Data Office (CDO) and Technology team in leading the design and drafting of end-to-end testing plans inclusive of user acceptance testing, integration testing, regression testing and data migration testing across the various Risk Monitoring Systems including but not limited to support of the New Product Approval Workflow Tool, New Activities Committee System Support Tools developed, Product Risk Management Monitoring Systems including Product Inventory, Risk Rating and Ongoing Monitoring.
  • Incorporate lessons learned in pilot roll-outs of the technology workflow tool in the final testing process design and update documentation.
  • Maintain auditable documentation of all test cases, results, findings and actions for review by Internal Audit or any regulatory body.
  • Coordinate with Technology to present testing plans including management Information tools; identify business specific requirements, if any.
  • Lead development of test cases/scripts and perform tests for functional, integration, regression testing and data migration testing, by working with the business, CDO and technology stakeholders
  • Provide test coverage based on requirements, design specifications and development standards.
  • Ensure consistent and relevant updates to test scripts and enhancements for a comprehensive enterprise product inventory, monitoring and review and risk ratings of all products and services on risk management workflow tools or any such system as deemed appropriate.
  • Lead by building consensus the defining of firm-wide platform requirements and product inventory system structure.
  • • Executes and manages end-to-end and exploratory testing in a manual and automated manner
  • Leads use of implementation tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation functions
  • Leads creation of test reports and performs defect tracking within development systems
  • Leads post release testing and helps troubleshoot issues through teaming with development team
  • Develop knowledge of software and integration fundamentals (e.g. log files, API endpoints) in collaboration with development teams to implement automated test scripts to validate feature functionality
