The Maintenance Technician performs various maintenance tasks in a timley to ensure a safe work enviroment



Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Technician:

Inspect and perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
Repair and maintain all plant equipment and machinery under the direction of the supervisor or Maintenance Repairer A.
Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties with limited supervision.
Assist higher rated maintenance repairers in machine repairs, adjustments, and rebuilding.
Effect repairs and adjustments of machinery where familiar. Complete minor electrical maintenance in areas as assigned, i.e. replace motors, fuses, switches, etc.

What We Need from You (Our Requirements):

Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
Industrial electrical maintenance certification or equivalent experience and training.
Must possess ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Must possess physical capability to move freely throughout the facility, walk, stand, bend, use ladders, lift fifty pounds on regular basis, and operate powered machinery and tools.
Must be trained in hazard recognition, PPE requirements and use, lockout/tagout, confined space procedures, emergency procedures, and any other safety requirements for employment at Grede.
Must be able to pass respirator fit test and comply with requirements when working in regulated areas.

Covid Protocols:



Plant is under a mask advisory, where we recommend but do not require. There is still a regular sanitizing schedule for all areas. We follow CDC guidelines when it comes to contact tracing and returning to work. We recommend social distancing and have reduced meetings to encourage this practice. Breakroom and other break areas have additional protection – plexiglass barriers in communicatee spaces.
