CareGiver

Earn $16-18 per hour! Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

NOTE: THIS JOB IS FOR THE YOLO AND SOLANO COUNTIES, WOODLAND, DAVIS, VACAVILLE, DIXON AND (to a lesser extent) YUBA/SUTTER COUNTY AREA ONLY. Our office serving this area is currently located in Woodland where you would need to go for our interview process and for training, if hired

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation
• Errand/Appointment assistance
• Light housekeeping tasks 
• Medication reminders
• Alzheimer's/Dementia Care
• Personal Services including bathing and dressing
• Ambulation assistance
• Incontinence care
•  Meal preparation

*No previous experience necessary - Paid skills training provided by Home Instead*

Requirements to be a CAREGiver:

• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Must be 18+ years old
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Complete a DMV check and drug screen
• Possess a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance
• Reliable transportation.
• Complete Background Check- note: effective 1/1/2016 the state of CA requires ALL senior 'home care aids' to be licensed by the state. We will help you with this process. The license lasts for two years
• Current TB test AND Covid Vacinated as per NEW CA state mandate.
• Quarterly meetings are required at the office in Woodland.
