General Description:

  • Develop, validate and maintain project schedules within the enterprise project system.

  • Drive strategic team decision-making and delivery of team goals and objectives.

  • Champion and support process improvement initiatives and optimize process efficiency, data quality and team performance.

  • Collaborate with teams to deliver on commitments to the organization and to patients.

  • Leverage innovative tools and methodologies to implement best in class program reporting and system solutions.


Essential Functions of the job:

  • Create and manage reports (Smartsheet, PowerBI) to effectively communicate, track, and manage the status of the global development projects to defined attributes and milestones. 

  • Create and update program project plans (MS Project) and SLT dashboards weekly and monthly, according to documented process and portfolio review calendar.

  • Administer and maintain program and project management systems (Smartsheet, MS Project).

  • Anticipate, identify, and resolve discrepancies in project priorities, plans, and activities in a timely fashion.

  • Coordinate regular team meeting schedules, draft agendas and provide meeting minutes, action items and progress reports according to project management best practices.

  • Develop and maintain clear and concise systems and process guidance documents for various audiences.

  • Support and lead process improvement initiatives, representing PPM where required e.g., PPM data quality, implementation of Clinical Data Warehouse, milestone alignment with CTMS and external data sources, budget change control, program management dashboards and reports, risk management, etc.

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

  • Identify and manage risks across the project; escalate whenever appropriate.

  • Develop and facilitate team planning sessions.


Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree, in a scientific or other related discipline

Required Experience, skills and knowledge:


  • Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in clinical and drug development in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry

  • Ability to leverage drug development and strong technical experience to enable robust and efficient project plan management with effective reporting and system solutions.

  • Excellent communicator with strong business acumen.

  • Proven ability to execute and perform autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to make sound judgments and decisions. Possess the ability to quickly assess problems/situations and provide effective resolution/solutions and raise risks and discrepancies where needed.

  • Proficiency in the use of Smartsheet and the MS Office Suite, including Excel and Power Point. Demonstrated strong proficiency in the use of Smartsheet, PowerBI and MS Project, with a high-level understanding of backend database structure.

Computer Skills -  Efficient in Excel, PowerBI, Smartsheet, OnePager Pro, Sharepoint, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.  Advanced capabilities in Excel, Project, and PowerBI, and Smartsheet preferred.

Other Qualifications - PMP certification a plus
