We are seeking a highly motivated Technology Engineer for Fulfillment to be a part of our team. The Technology Engineer for Fulfillment will work with the IT, WMS, Operations, vendors, and other business units to develop standards, implement new technologies and create solutions focused on the warehouse infrastructure and operation as aligned by the Director of Service Delivery.
What you’ll do:
Key responsibilities include troubleshooting complex application and hardware issues; documentation, analysis and resolution of escalated help desk tickets; and working with local and remote IT Site Support teams and employees to quickly provide high quality solutions to IT problems. This will provide you the opportunity to learn and work with a variety of equipment and issues including mobile devices, desktops, laptops, network connectivity, Windows software, Linux/Android OS, and much more. In addition, you will also be assigned special projects in which you will get to research new technology and solve more complex problems.
Researches and develops new standard hardware and software configurations for use in the Fulfillment environment.
Assists with mobile device management engineering, administration, and collaboration
Analyzes problems and recommends hardware and software solutions as needed to address an issue or to support projects and Chewy initiatives.
Assists with documenting and maintaining standard configurations that support security policies for the fulfillment centers.
Maintains critical Fulfillment systems and software
Assists with the build and launch of new Fulfillment Centers
Creates technical documentation as required.
Leads tactical and strategic-level projects creating and maintaining project plans.
Assists with supporting the client system testing environment for evaluating desktop hardware, mobile hardware, operating systems, hosted applications, service packs and patches, security configurations and image deployment.
Develops reports that provide insight and analysis of Fulfillment IT hardware and systems
Supports and standardizes Linux OS deployments including Android
Develops and maintains scripts and software packages used within Fulfillment
Works with systems team to prepare, tests and release software application and security updates to production using SCCM.
Serves as tier 3 escalation support for all hardware related issues supporting the fulfillment centers incident and problem management escalation processes and practices.
Troubleshoots and resolves client hardware and software related issues in coordination with other members of the IT Technology groups and users.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
An associates degree in computer sciences or equivalent
Knowledge of Mobile Device Technology (Zebra, Honeywell, etc)
Knowledge of various printing technologies (HP, Zebra, etc)
Experience with mobile device management tools (SOTI, Ivanti, etc)
Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, hardware, and software
A minimum of 2 years of experience providing technical support directly to users
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex hardware and software problems
Experience working in an SLA driven environment
Experience supporting PC’s in a Windows Active Directory environment
Experience supporting Linux and/or Android
Experience writing scripts and/or software packages for internal customer use
Experience supporting users in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Basic SQL query knowledge
Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
Superior customer service and client interfacing skills
Able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) and to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
Experience with physical access control software
Experience with 3rd party software APIs for reporting
CompTia Network+ Certified
CompTia A+ Certified
Knowledge of operating/administering client management systems such as System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge of project management methodology
Good time management skills
