What You'll Do
As the Meter Technician you will be responsible for training Apprentice Meter Technicians to ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective services. This position will appeal to individuals who have metering experience in the electric utility industry. Ideal candidates should have a general understanding of engineering and operations (i.e. SCADA, AMI, and OMS). The Meter Technician reports to the Director of Engineering.
- Testing, servicing, maintaining, and calibrating electronic meters, instruments, transformers, metering equipment, and programmable distribution equipment.
- Assists members in understanding their energy usage.
- Installs and repairs instrument metering equipment.
- Installs wiring for CT and PT metering.
- Sets and maintains single-phase and three-phase metering above 200 Amps.

- Completion of an accredited meter technician apprentice program highly desirable.
- Experience in testing, servicing, installing, and programming metering equipment.
- Indiana Class A Commercial Driver License is desirable.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
