Job Summary The barback assists the bartender with all aspects of bar operations. * Job Responsibilities * Greet and make all guests feel welcomed to the restaurant. * Assist bartender with opening and closing of bar. * Proactively monitor and replenish ice, fruit, beer, wine and spirits, mixers and glasses throughout the shift as needed. * Respond to bartender calls for bar needs. * Clear bar and tables as needed * Act as server for guests at bar tables and assist with drink preparation as needed. * Prepare a requisition for bar needs that were depleted during shift. * Keep work prep and serving areas clean according to resort and State Board of Health standards. * Present a clean and professional appearance at all times. * Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times. * Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to guest inquiries with accurate information and a positive attitude. * Promote hotel amenities and services to guests using personal knowledge and effective selling techniques. * Welcome and effectively resolve guest questions, issues and complaints with supervisor assistance as needed. Job Responsibilities Guest Service * Greet and make all guests feel welcomed. * Use the guest's name at least three times during the interaction. * Verbally receives and calls back customer orders in a friendly manner, serve orders and accommodate special needs/requests. * Remain attentive to guests throughout the entire dining experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards as established by the restaurant at all times. * Accurately rings sales orders into cash register and counts back change to customers in a courteous and friendly manner * Welcome and effectively resolve guest questions, issues and complaints with supervisor assistance as needed. * Answers telephone in a courteous and friendly manner including, but not limited to, giving proper greeting, directions to coffee bar location, and receiving and filling customer orders * Answers customer questions regarding coffee blends, preparation, and product freshness * Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to guest inquiries with accurate information and a positive attitude. * Sells and serves baked goods and miscellaneous food items to customers * Attend to guests at the coffee bar as well as lobby tables to fulfill food and drink orders. * Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor * After taking payment, thank the guest and ask if there is anything else that the guest might want. * Present a clean and professional appearance at all times. * Promote hotel amenities and services to guests using personal knowledge and effective selling techniques. Product * Ensures that all customers are educated on our products and services * Maintains the highest quality, consistent product standards * Follows all Company drink recipes and procedures * Begins to educate themselves on the various types of coffee, tea products, blends and roasts * Proficiently prepares blended and cold drinks Bar Preparation * Attend team briefings when relevant. * Maintain cleanliness standards in order to satisfy local health department and State Board of Health requirements. * Check bar area to be sure it is adequately stocked with replacement cutlery, linens or other established needs, be they food or equipment. * Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing as instructed. * Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
