BASIC FUNCTION:

This position requires driving a forklift /stock picker to move the product. This position is responsible for shipping, receiving, storage and distribution of product.  Tasks are to be performed in an efficient manner so that all necessary precautions are taken to protect warehouse contents and product being moved against loss.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Skilled operation of a stock picker at least 75% of the worktime on a regular basis
  • This position should be skilled to assist with furniture prep, assembly and inspection to manufacturer specifications
  • Cycle counting is to be performed at a frequency determined by your RDC manager
  • Responsible for accurately receiving goods into the RDC and the accurate processing of the paperwork
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of furniture and accessories on and off trucks
  • Review paperwork to ensure that all product has been pulled and ready for delivery or pick up.
  • Review product against sales orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
  • Responsible for accurately receiving goods into the RDC and the accurate processing of the paperwork
  • Understand internal control procedures for process of receiving product against purchase orders and packing slips and actions to reconcile
  • Scan all product received and upload into computer system
  • Receive returned goods from the delivery teams into the computer system and locate to the appropriate location..
  • Ensure that all product to be sent back to vendor is properly packaged and all corresponding paperwork is attached
  • Comply with all safety regulations established by company
  • Minimal travel
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Any combination of training and experience, which is equivalent to post high school level preferred
  • Ability to move 350lbs and lift up to 200lbs for several hours consecutively. This will be required when putting away and pulling the furniture
  • Must be forklift certified
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in delivery, warehousing, receiving, issuing, packing, shipping and/or storage of goods
  • A thorough understanding of the proper methods and procedures used in safe receiving, storing, requisitions, shipping and delivery. Basic knowledge of inventory procedures.
  • Self-management to demonstrate self-control and the ability to manage time and priorities
  • Must be able and willing to work collaboratively and effectively with the team
  • Goal orientation: Energetically focuses efforts on meeting a goal, mission or objective
