The Supervisor will be responsible for maximizing operational performance and safety and ensuring security regulations are adhered to. Provides service delivery and performance to our customers is of the highest standards in the industry. The Supervisor is responsible for the safe and proper execution and success of all ramp operations during the assigned duty hours. Must always be on the ramp during operations. Ensures employees' adequate training on the ramp and files various administrative reports daily to MODs or Station Manager.

  • Operations - Check and verify flight schedule(s) for their shift. Observe operations and make equipment assignments and other adjustments as necessary.
  • Involved in all major operational decisions impacting performance delivery with a priority on safety.

  • KPI's - Ensure all crews safely meet company standards, customer on-time performance requirements, and have operational reviews with customers for any issues or concerns. Evaluate the performance of all leads and their crews. Administer and follow through with employee discipline as required.
  • Training – Train newly hired employees.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
  • Internal relations – ensure statutorily company, client policies, and SOP's are adhered to.
  • Controls overtime and completes reports.
Briefs Agents prior to the operation – Communicates flight schedules and other unusual circumstances.
  • Communicates equipment status and plans.
  • Determines the workforce and makes any necessary changes.
  • Arranges for loading and unloading of customer trucks as required.
  • Sorting of freight per customer requirements.
  • Conduct proper two-way communications in English, using ground-to-ground and air-to-ground radios and telephones as applicable.
Completes a final ramp check after operation for:
  • Equipment status
  • Proper wrap-up and staging of equipment
  • Ensure all statutory and company policies are complied with and conduct and assist with any investigation or claims brought to the business's attention.
  • Health, Safety & Security – ensure compliance with occupational health & safety, TSA legislation, and company policy. Develop and maintain positive health and safety culture focused on awareness and vigilance
  • Ability to formulate reports in a timely manner
  • Complete business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Prepared to undertake any additional training to complement the operation
  • 24hr contact for security and emergency purposes
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be willing and able to push frequently, pull, squat, bend, and reach
