This position focuses on wholesale fuel customer support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 year college degree preferred or equivalent customer service experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and financial reports.
  • Ability to write reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other common software programs. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be able to work in a team building environment
  • Must be able to travel to customer and company meetings; will be asked to attend industry conferences.

Essential Functions

  • Proactively call all transport delivery customers (Dealers and Commercial) to solicit new deliveries on a daily basis.
  • Maintain market intelligence of competitor pricing, tactics, vendor issues, and any other variable that will impact how we market our fuel.
  • Develop expertise on daily market movements and coordinate with fuel team leaders on avenues and strategies to increase margin and profitability of fuel sales daily/weekly/monthly.
  • Learn and proactively manage the delivery process for all loads placed daily.  Maintain carrier setup, loading numbers, freight rates, access agreements, etc.
  • Answer and resolve majority of customer concerns related to billing, credit card batches, pricing/delivery discrepancies, and most single contact issues that arise.
  • Responsible for daily pricing calculation and distribution.
  • Participate in the on-call night and weekend dispatch duties.
  • Monitor the master price distribution list along with margins by customer for accuracy and updated changes.
  • Handle customer setup and support on branded portals.
  • Monitor POP, co-op advertising, credit promotions, and issues related to mystery shop scores. Mystery Shop includes disseminating to sales and customer. Creating responses and/or appeals when identified.
  • Provide assistance with VeriFone support/contracts. Requires consistent customer contact.
  • Calculate and enter monthly rebate volumes for branded dealers.
  • Coordinate annual brand meetings with dealers and prospects by brand; including invitation list, follow-up and maintenance of ongoing prospect list by site name.
  • Coordinate Holiday gifts, anniversary thank you notes, etc. for all customers.
  • Co-ordinate Vendor Set-Up for project bill payment (Completed Application, W-9)
