IPG’s Laser Diode Assemblers work with tweezers and small hand tools to install and reposition small components into smart machines that are fully automated. As an Assembler, you will follow a set routine with specific procedures to build components and sub-assemblies that go into our high-powered lasers.


Shifts Available: 1st shift is 5 am- 1 pm and can extend to 3 pm; 2nd shift is 3 pm-11 pm, and can extend to 1 am. Overtime is available and occasional Saturday flexibility is required.

  • Assemble, install and inspect components; which may require positioning, aligning, and repairing pieces and/or cleaning parts
  • Some positions require the use of a microscope



  • Arm-hand steadiness with hand to eye coordination a must
  • Comfortable working with very small, fragile parts
  • Must have an understanding and moderate communication skills and ability to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions
  • Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime are essential functions of this job
  • Must be present and on time for work as scheduled
  • Be able to work carefully, consistently and be able to identify errors
  • Familiarity with PCs and Microsoft Windows, a plus but not required


Required qualifications:

  • 18 years or older
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
