Department Manager – Semac/Brake Shoe Dept. Industry Leading, Heavy Industrial Facility looking for a Dynamic, Motivated, Detail Oriented Manager Capable of Leading the Department into Short, and Long Term, Sustainable Growth. This is an unparalleled opportunity, for the right motivated and experienced candidate, to showcase their proven Management skills by leading our team of fabrication and manufacturing professionals within our SEMAC-Brake Shoe Manufacturing and Assembly Department. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your Management Skill-Set by overseeing this critical operational department containing a workforce of Supervisors and Operational Personnel in excess of 150 people. Your ability to effectively implement your knowledge and trouble-shooting skills, along with a proven record of being able to think outside the box, would be paramount in your effectiveness within the role. Some key functions to be performed by the candidate being considered for this role would include: Reviews production orders and schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations. Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products along with Preventative Maintenance activities. Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing to insure production and quality of product meets specification. Recommends and validates, through time study and ROI analysis, continuous improvements. Reviews production and operating reports to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance expenditures to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays. Reviews machinery and equipment to ensure peek operational utilization and performance.
