About the Role

The Customer Experience team is growing in order to support EHI's strategic objective to create an unmatched customer experience. By listening to and designing for our customers, we will partner with Product, IT, Marketing and Operations teams to deliver a low-touch, frictionless rental process, ensuring the principles of personalization, empathy, control and transparency are reflected in our service delivery.

The Senior Experience Designer contributes to the UX design of new experiences through the creation and support of concepts, prototypes, service design blueprints, and other visual deliverables representing the various interactions customers may take with a given product or service available to them at Enterprise Holdings. The Senior Experience Designer participates in ideation and research synthesis activities to ensure that solutions, services, and products are co-created in an easy, enjoyable, and useful manner for both customers and employees. Provides thought leadership and mentor other members of the Experience Design team through collaborative feedback and iteration.

This position reports to an Experience Design Director at our Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, Mo, but is available for remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Experience Design Lead in documenting and establishing human-centered design processes to define and refine service/experience design of future solutions.
  • Define and refine user goals and friction points to overcome within current user journeys by participating in user interviews, focus groups, job shadowing, and observation
  • Envision and communicate future state product and service concepts through experience maps, user journeys, service blueprints, diagrams, etc.
  • Contribute to the planning, design and operations of experiments of new services and products at varying levels of fidelity in alignment with learning goals and the critical uncertainties around problem, solution and form of implementation
  • Mentor and coach other designers and assist them on design projects
  • Ensure quality deliverables and prototypes for stakeholder updates and in-field testing with customers
  • Conduct ideation and exploration of potential solutions, spanning service, interaction, spatial, product and brand design elements
  • Provide targeted design feedback and collaborative iteration on design artifacts based on research findings, business objectives, and design principles
  • Support the brand and design system by advocating for best practices and standards based on usability, accessibility, and design principles

Qualifications

Minimum:
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in New Media, HCI, Interaction Design, Service Design or related field
  • Must have four or more years of experience applying HCI methods to digital products and services for consumer and business applications and solid understanding of web and mobile related technologies and design patterns
  • Must have four or more years of experience in service/experience design and the ability to generate solid design ideas, and thorough understanding of user-centric design process
  • Must supply a portfolio/documented work examples which demonstrate UX and interaction design skills
  • Must have experience with graphic and digital design and prototyping tools such as Axure, Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, HTML/CSS or similar
  • One or more years of experience leading collaborative teams through human-centered design processes is preferred
  • Experience with facilitating group collaboration workshops and in-market prototype testing with users is preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
