Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to use practice in a specialized pharmacy setting working for the industry leader in home infusion. As a Pharmacy Intern with Coram you will learn how to utilize your clinical skills under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and/or Pharmacy Supervisor within the scope of practice for a state-registered pharmacy intern. Key responsibilities: *Interpret and evaluate prescription orders assure therapeutic appropriateness, cost effectiveness, and completeness. *Communicate with patients and other members of the healthcare team. Obtain laboratory results and patient medication histories as directed. *Select items in processing patient orders and warehouse transfers. Compound parenteral solutions aseptically. *Type prescription labels, initiate patient dispensing records, packing slips and statements. *Obtains a final check by the pharmacist in compounding and filling prescriptions. *Maintain the pharmacy environment and restock the compounding room.

Required Qualifications
-Must be accepted into an accredited school of pharmacy.
-Must have an active New York Pharmacy Intern License that is in good standing.
-One year experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacist intern.

Education
Enrolled in a B.S. or doctorate of pharmacy degree program.
