Systems Administrator/Analyst Tyndall AFB, Panama City FL OVERVIEW: IPT Associates, LLC is a dynamic Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Since 1992, IPT has provided a wide variety of professional services and technology solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), other Federal agencies and commercial clients. The 337th Air Control Squadron at Tyndall AFB, FL requires operations and sustainment/software engineering support services for the Battle Control System-Tyndall (BCS-T) networked training system. BCS-T is a unique USAF Air Education and Training Command (AETC) acquired and developed training system used to train US and International Air Battle Management (ABM) students. IPT Associates is seeking a Systems Administrator/Analyst to provide on-site support at Tyndall AFB to maintain BCS-T hardware, software and networking capabilities supporting ongoing ABM training operations. Responsibilities: * Be part of a Tyndall AFB BCS-T information technology team, supporting all training, troubleshooting and repair of BCS-T hardware, install and maintain software updates, coordinate with the Training System Support Center (TSSC), and manage maintenance data collection * Responsible for installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of systems, including associated hardware * Support software installations and maintenance support resulting from system enhancements or modifications * Responsible for applying security updates and patches on servers, desktops, and laptops * Perform vulnerability scans as well as troubleshoot and fix scan issues * Perform system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, and reviewing system and application logs Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology related field (Preferred) * Minimum of 2 years of related experience / 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for degree * Familiar with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Oracle operating systems * Experience with Raytheon/Solipsys Tactical Display Framework (TDF), Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) and Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) (highly desired) * Ability to diagnose and resolve server, storage, and network problems * Ability to work directly with end users to troubleshoot and resolve system issues * Work with vendors for maintenance support of hardware and software * Self-starter, proactive in determining goals and objectives and pursuing the necessary course of action * Ability to work off-hour shifts as needed to support ongoing training operations * Active Secret clearance * Experience working in operational government environments (Desired) Please note: In response to The September 9, 2021 Executive Order 14042 and the guidance issued on September 24, 2021 by the Safer Federal Workforce Taskforce Guidance, Federal contractors and subcontractors with a covered contract will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 except in limited circumstances where an employee is legally entitled to an accommodation.
