LinQuest is seeking an experienced Modernization Planning Engineer to support our STS-2 team supporting the Special Programs Directorate at the Space and Missiles System Center in Santa Maria, CA. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art military satellite and ground systems for space domain awareness and space control missions for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground systems. Responsibilities: * Lead working groups and develop Space Domain Awareness and Counterspace solutions and supporting documentation
* Elicit and capturing stakeholder needs in models
* Support the development of acquisition roadmaps for future space warfighting solutions
* Provide liaison services to the Joint Space Operations Center and incorporate user perspective into space warfighting modernization planning
* Integrate models to modern requirements management, architecture, and systems engineering software
Required Experience: * MS in Engineering / Science or equivalent technical degree
* 10+ years broad technical and managerial experience with DoD space programs, including systems engineering and exposure to satellite operations
* 4+ years of experience with the Joint Space Operations Center
* Acquisition program experience
* Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of systems engineering and integration activities, with special emphasis on space warfighting task analysis
* Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
* Current TS/SCI clearance is required for the position
Preferred Experience: * Subject matter expertise in space domain awareness and space control programs
* Space acquisition experience
