Maintenance Technician

PrideStaff Hattiesburg is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our client's team! This person will be responsible for installing, repairing, and upkeep of industrial machinery. They will also be responsible for the following duties:

Responsibilities:

  • Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
  • Estimate time and extent of repairs
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance
  • Maintain material and supply inventory
  • Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary
  • Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations and JSAs
  • Comply with all company rules and regulations
  • Install, repair, overhaul, and maintain machinery using a variety of trade skills.
  • Perform a wide range of tasks including welding, cutting, fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing of various types of processing equipment or machines to improve production quality efficiency
  • Predictive, corrective, and preventative mechanical and/or electrical maintenance using a variety of diagnostic tools
  • Responsible for monitoring the status of all plant systems on a continuous basis
  • Dismantle and re-assembly on various types of equipment for modifications or upgrades
  • Troubleshooting or inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of an issue or other problems
  • Work within a team dynamic to utilize skill sets such as Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Process Control, Continuous Process Improvement, and Value Stream Management

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Natural Problem solving and analytical skills with mechanical aptitude
  • Previous manufacturing environment experience
  • Experience with specialty tools including pipe threading, a wide variety of gauges, and other hand tools
  • Cutting, welding, and fabrications skills
  • Ability to adjust work schedule, perform shift work, work overtime as needed
  • Support continuous process improvement culture
