Description:

  • Insurance Reimbursement Specialists are primarily responsible for working with insurance companies and medical billing staff to manage the billing/reimbursement process.
  • Reimbursement Specialist is a remote position that will receive inbound and place outbound calls regarding medical and/or pharmacy benefit investigation.
  • Employee will utilize data from the MedeBV transaction to complete a medical benefit investigation.
  • This process involves calling on specific payers to gain the necessary missing data to finalize the benefit investigation.
  • Once the data is obtained from the payer, the Reimbursement Specialist will enter the data
  • The Reimbursement Specialist may also complete other documentation as required for daily reporting and performance measurement activities.

NEED at least one year experience in ONE of the following:

  • Have conducted/handled/processed BENEFIT INVESTIGATIONS, CLAIMS, VERIFICATION OF BENEFITS
  • Previous pharmaceutical manufacturer patient support programs – assisted patients with understanding benefit coverage & payment for high-cost medications
  • Anything pharmacy related – contacted payers/insurance to understand patient’s benefits, discussed or provided this info back to patient
  • Prior Authorization handling – worked with providers/patients to process
  • Prior Authorizations submitted for services/products
  • Experience calling insurance companies to review patient’s coverage
  • Have handled/answered inbound calls from providers/hospitals/clinics -- provided benefit/coverage details for services/products related to patient care
