2nd Shift (2pm- 10PM)

$18.25 Hourly + $1.50 Shift Differential

Ross Stores Distribution Centers is opening a BRAND-NEW, climate controlled facility in Brookshire, TX. This is a wonderful opportunity to make an impact on the direction of an entire DC. We need you to be the motivator and developer for our new associates helping to stand up the facility. You will be part of the first round of hires and the first point of contact for all new hires within your area of expertise. Ross is seeking individuals who will openly promote our passion and culture.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

A Ross Stores Trainer will coach and mentor non-exempt new hires during their initial training periods before going into production on the DC floor. The Trainers role is to help promote DC training initiatives by increasing overall job knowledge, productivity, performance, and safety for DC Associates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct Training Curriculum as outlined by the Training Manager
  • Train to Engineered Standards produced by the Industrial Engineering and the Training Manager
  • Operate within Merchandise Processing in assigned Home Department when not training
  • Develop and Maintain Operational Expertise in a minimum of one functional areas in the DC
  • Become the Recognized Expert in your assigned area

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least 6 months of previous training experience within a Distribution Center Environment
  • Strong command of the English Language, both written and verbal
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and a willingness to help others through patience, persistence and a coaching mentality
  • Basic Math Proficiency - Testing Required
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed based on business demands
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel - Testing Required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
  • Ability to climb, reach, bend, kneel as needed
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Lifting up to 50lbs as needed
