Field Technician (Full-Time)
US – MA – Bellingham

Green Site Services is a small full-service company focused on Disaster & Emergency Response, Site Remediation, Waste Management, Industrial and Construction Site Services. As a Field Technician, you will be asked to work both independently and in team settings to take up various manual labor tasks and support operations on the job site. Field Technicians have the important role of making sure the job site is clean, safe, and ready for work to begin. Responsibilities include but are not limited to operating hand tools and small equipment to complete work objectives and transporting materials/equipment to and from the workplace.

Essential Functions:

  • Follow instructions from supervisors and foremen to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, cleaning worksites of haz/non-haz materials, etc.).
  • Assist welders, carpenters, equipment operators, and all other tradespeople to perform specialized tasks that may require on-the-job training.
  • Handle, transport, load, unload, and install job materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders).
  • Use power tools (e.g. hammer drill, band saw, etc.) and heavy machinery (e.g. forklifts, skid steer, etc.) on-site.
  • Execute all duties in accordance with appropriate safety and security standards. Duties include but are not limited to:
    • Reporting issues with equipment or unsafe working conditions.
    • Following all OSHA safety guidelines.
    • Wearing required levels of personal protective equipment as needed (e.g. boots, safety glasses, respirator).
    • Set up, transferring, and monitoring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding).
    • Set up & maintenance of warning signs (e.g. signposts, cones) and other safety materials for vehicles and passersby as needed on-site.


  • Active Driver’s License.
  • Availability to travel roughly 20% of the time to remote project sites.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or certification in a skilled trade.
  • OSHA 40 and 10 Construction Safety Training (Not required. Must be willing to obtain certification upon employment).
  • Familiarity with power tools and machinery (Not required).
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for 8 hours per day, lifting loads up to 40 lbs., working in confined spaces, clarity of vision at two feet or more).
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply common operational documents, including SOPs.

· Ability to safely operate various vehicles and equipment.

This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Local travel to various worksites may be required.
