Northrop Grumman Space Systems is searching for a Engineer Mass Properties to join the Launch Vehicle business unit in Chandler, AZ.As a mass properties engineer, you will work with design, propulsion, electrical and other engineers to model the mass properties (mass, center of gravity, moment and product of inertia) of launch vehicles. You will use CAD (NX), drawings and other sources to create, track and refine the mass properties model down to the piece part level. You will need to be self-motivated to work on your own but able to communicate efficiently and clearly with other engineers to get the data you are looking for. Attention to detail is a necessary trait for this position.Basic Qualifications: 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with MastersU.S. Citizenship is requiredBasic knowledge of CAD and MS Office is requiredAbility to obtain a secret security clearance is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Programming knowledge in VBA (MS Access and Excel) is desired.Active security clearance is desired but not necessary, but ability to receive one is highly desired Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
