Job Overview:

At LPL Financial we consider it our mission to take care of our advisors so they can take care of their client. Joining as a Sr. Developer -.NET, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the sustainable, scalable capabilities that support delivery of the highest standards of software products, processes for our Advisors and End Clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in activities which drive the design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance using ASP.Net, C#, MS SQL Server 2012+

  • Work with Product Owners and Product Managers to translate business problem statements into technical solutions, then help to plan Sprints that deliver quality demonstrations

  • Assist in technical assessment of risks and issues, and document recommendations

  • Coordinate solution design with leaders from Architecture, Data, Infrastructure, and Business to optimize speed to market and achieve prioritized business outcomes.

  • Assist in developing appropriate technical documentation in accordance with SDLC guidelines, get them reviewed and approved before the Prod Release

  • Communicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product support

  • Performing peer-peer code reviews and team code reviews and provide demos on latest technologies.

  • Involvement in monthly major releases to support production release activities.

Requirements:

  • 7+ Years of experience working with C# and related Microsoft tech stack in a Distributed Environment

  • Hands-on knowledge on working with SQL Server

  • Strong understanding / Experience with DevOps

  • Experienced in using design patterns and implement them with C#

  • Development experience with REST, SOAP and Windows based services

  • Knowledge in pub/sub messaging technologies and patterns

  • Experience with documenting RESTful web services with OpenAPI

Core Competencies:

  • Understanding of building systems with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Understanding of using Docker and Kubernetes

  • Understanding of using Kafka.

  • Experience working with Azure DevOps and GIT

  • Excellent knowledge of OOP concepts, data modeling design patterns/frameworks

  • Using Search, Index, and Distribute Caching tools such as Coherence, Apache Solr, etc.

  • Experience with Agile development process

  • Excellent knowledge in designing and developing micro services

  • Ability to lead design discussions with Architecture Team

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects

  • Great track record of implementing the distributed systems with legacy and modern technical tools

  • Demonstrated ability to document and specifications of Technical Artifacts

  • Experience with Team Foundation Server/ Visual Studio 19, TeamCity/Octopus etc.
