Hiring: Patient Service Representative

Who are we looking for?

We are currently seeking candidates with great customer service and multitasking skills that want to work in a collaborative team environment and get or continue to be in the healthcare industry.

What would I be doing through the day?

  • You will be accurately coordinating, scheduling and completing registration for ambulatory outpatient visits for assigned department(s)
  • Speaking with patients about their demographic and insurance information, verifying and communicating any patient liabilities, and collecting clinical information in response to scheduling questions
  • Explaining preparation requirements to patients and coordinating with clinical departments about protocols and modifications to scheduling protocols
  • Answering miscellaneous non scheduling request calls when possible or transfer to the proper department for assistance

What are the hours I would be working?

**FULLY ON-SITE**

Monday-Friday: 8:00AM - 5:00PM

What experience are we looking for?

  • Someone that has a history of working in a high call volume, customer service, data entry, and/or healthcare environment. We are also open to people that have this history and have an interest in breaking into the healthcare industry where they can see long term professional growth!

  • The ability to multitask while on the phone (required)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill (required)
  • A genuine want to help the person on the other end of the call and the ability to show empathy to their situation

What else are they looking for in candidates?

  • Equal to completion of four years of high school or GED (required)
  • Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience (preferred)
  • Previous call center experience is (preferred)
  • Strong computer skills are required and must type at least 35 WPM
  • Previous experience with electronic health records is (preferred)
  • Ability to utilize call center telephone systems, to multi-task, and work both independently and as a team (required)
