An outstanding opportunity has just become available with a community medical center in Southern New Mexico who is looking for a Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery to join their dedicated staff.
This community medical center is a member of an awarded Health System in New Mexico, and has been serving the local community for over 40 years. This facility offers a wide-range of inpatient acute care services including 24-hour Emergency, ICU, Surgical, Labor and Delivery, Laboratory, and Rehabilitation services. This hospital and its related health care entities are fully accredited by The Joint Commission, and have been named Best Regional Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.
Reporting to the Director Labor and Delivery, the Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery will help maintain a competent team of birth center nurses and other staff by exhibiting excellent leadership and organizational skills. This Nurse Manager will also work alongside departmental teams of administrative and clinical staff throughout the hospital.
The Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery will oversee the hospital’s Family Birthing Center, which offers a breadth of Women’s services including Labor and Delivery, Obstetrics, Prenatal Care, and Family Planning. This unit has multiple birthing rooms and is staffed with a talented team of Labor and Delivery RNs dedicated to providing exceptional care to all patients. This department is fairly busy for its size, seeing roughly 200 births annually.
The Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery will be accountable for the clinical supervision and administrative management of the Family Birthing Unit in accordance with organizational and departmental goals. They will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of professional nursing care, and will help lead a competent team of Birth Center Charge RNs and other staff by exhibiting excellent leadership and organizational skills.
The Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery will be working in the beautiful Southern New Mexico region, one of the historical landmarks of the Southwest.
