About the Job:

In this role, you will develop and execute top notch customer marketing strategies and programs to grow POOLCORP's business and profitability. Working closely with field sales, product management, creative, and digital marketing, you'll drive customer acquisition and retention to new heights. You'll also be responsible for our corporate marketing strategies and plans.

The ideal candidate has led B2B customer marketing in a field sales environment involving numerous customers and has consumer brand management experience. Key responsibilities:
  • Build an industry-leading customer marketing center of excellence, creating value for Poolcorp, our vendors / suppliers, and our customers.
  • Strategize, lead, and oversee the execution of innovative omni-channel marketing programs that deliver results while building our brands.
  • Map the customer journey and create customer marketing playbooks and growth plans that identify new opportunities and optimize key touchpoints across the lifecycle.
  • Develop CRM strategies and plans to drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Lead efforts to create an unmatched customer experience by developing a deep understanding of the voice of the customer, identifying best practices, and creating content, tools, and turn-key promotions for our sales centers to leverage.
  • Coordinate and streamline field communications, increasing both the effectiveness and efficiency of sales center teams and enabling them to have excellent customer engagements.
  • Build a culture of data-driven decision making, analyzing customer data, trends, and insights to develop impactful GTM strategies and plans.
  • Oversee marketing budget, measuring the effectiveness and ROI of marketing programs to ensure they deliver on our goals.
  • Develop and lead a team of customer marketers and customer service professionals, providing coaching and helping them grow their skills.
  • Manage external agencies / vendors to support efforts as needed.
  • 8+ years of proven success creating and executing marketing and communications programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals, problem solve, and manage multiple complex projects in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Dynamic leader who excels at both developing their team and building cross-functional relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple and intuitive communications and actionable insights.
  • Strong & effective communication skills, both written and oral; can effectively tell stories and articulate the "why."
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of customer marketing in a B2B field sales environment.
  • Experience marketing in a distributor or with solutions marketing a plus.
  • MBA strongly preferred.
Working Relationships:
  • This position reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing who has responsibility for Customer & Corporate Marketing, Digital & Consumer Marketing, and the Creative team.
  • This role will oversee a team of 6-8 people, with 3-4 direct reports.
  • This position will regularly interact with the other Marketing teams, Field Sales, Product Management, HR, IT, Finance and Legal.
Work Environment:
  • Located in Covington, LA (POOLCORP Corporate Headquarters), relocation assistance available.
  • Able to travel up to 20% of the time.
