Position Overview
Supervises shifts in the absence of the Store Manager and the Assistant Manager. Primarily responsible for taking Guest orders, handing out orders, dealing with Guest complaints, delegating duties in the absence of the Manager.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The following is a list of the job duties as they relate to Pick Up Stix’ four focus areas of performance. The ability to perform these duties is essential for this position. Other duties may be assigned by your manager as required.
Teamwork
- Manages staff meal and rest periods
- Support operations by performing any other duty as assigned, to ensure the restaurant is producing to standards
Standards
- Verify cash drawers, the safe funds and gift certificates
- Know and enforces OSHA and company safety guidelines
- Make bank deposits in the absence of the Manager
- Follow proper sanitation and food handling procedures
- Control labor costs by cutting staff following the Manager’s guidelines
Sales
- Resolve Guest complaints
- Understand all functions of the MICROS system
- Authorize Guest credits or refunds in the absence of the Manager
Quality
- Perform all front staff job duties (Cashier, Food Runner, Packer)
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly sidework is completed
- Perform opening and/or closing duties in the absence of the Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises the FOH and BOH staffs in the absence of the Manager
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or
- One to three months related experience or training, or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentage, area, circumfrence, and volume
- Ability to apply the concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to deal problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
