Retail Assembly Technician

NWS Professional Assembly (NWS) is seeking candidates for Assembly Technician, working on-site at local retail locations assembling merchandise and displays. The position is the Assembly of items including Barbecues, Wheelbarrows, Lawn Tractors, Work Benches, Bicycles, and much more at various clients, such as The Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, and Kroger. 

We’re hiring Seasonal assemblers for our spring through summer surge. This position can transition into year-round work depending on the number of clients in the area and your performance. We offer flexible scheduling, ideal for college students searching for part-time work or those wanting full-time Monday through Friday. 

Here at NWS, you are rewarded for your performance. With our piecework pay model, you can earn up to $30 per hour depending on your productivity when building merchandise. As you learn the products and develop good habits and techniques, you will gain speed, and your earnings will go up accordingly. 

If you are the handy person your friends and family would ask to help assemble a bike, grill, or playset, then we want you to come and build for us!

Responsibilities will include:

• Provide quality assembly and repair products and merchandise, using manufacturer instructions while adhering to retailer rules and guidelines. 
• Provide excellent customer service experience, building and maintaining a positive relationship with clients.   
• Check-in with Retailer management to confirm build list and inventory. 
• Generate and complete invoices daily.
• Reports and communicates effectively to the Area Manager.
• Maintains a safe and clean workspace, leaving clients with a clean build area.
• Other responsibilities as outlined in our employee handbook.

Requirements: 

• Ability to pass a background test.
• Ability to pass a drug test. 
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Basic hand tools, cordless screw gun, and Mechanical aptitude.
• A smartphone and e-mail address.
• Internet access via a smartphone or mobile device. 
• Reliable transportation
• Capable of working on your feet for extended periods.
• Kneel, bend, twist and lift 50+ pounds repeatedly. 
• Experience is a plus, but we will train.

• Able to stand for duration of shift
