Citi's Chief Administration Office (CAO) was established in 2020 to oversee the company's regulatory engagement, project management and to lead transformation efforts. Now, the CAO organization has grown to over 500 employees and is at the center of a multi-billion dollar transformation that will shape the future of the company over the next coming years. CAO is fast-growing and is in need of motivated talent. The CAO Strategy Lead is seeking SVP, CAO Strategy with responsibility for helping the Strategy Lead drive the strategic direction of the CAO organization. He/she will also manage projects across functional teams within and outside the CAO, while working very closely with the CAO Strategy & Planning Lead.

The CAO Strategy & Planning team is a small, yet high impact group with highly capable individuals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and communicate strategy, in collaboration with the Strategy Lead, for the CAO organization
  • Own and lead CAO Strategy work streams and work closely with necessary stakeholders, including Deputy CAO, HR and Finance.
  • Leads the facilitation, coordination and arbitration of cross-functional strategy work streams within/across programs and with Senior Management
  • Build and develop relationships with stakeholders across the CAO organization to ensure a consistent approach to their respective areas that is embedded in the broader strategic vision
  • Identify areas of interdependencies (both within the CAO organization and external to the CAO organization) and demonstrate leadership to bring teams together to drive integration of objectives and underlying work
  • Monitor/track actions being taken across the CAO organization to achieve strategic objectives, including identifying and driving resolution of issues
  • Direct the communication of status, issue and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and designees on strategic initiatives and enhancements ensuring the necessary checkpoints have been implemented and met
  • Develop corrective strategies when objectives are not being met and influence stakeholders at all level, including the Senior Management
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant business experience, management consulting preferred
  • Demonstrated ability in designing a structured approach to solve unstructured problems and in scoping work
  • Understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions
  • Proven ability to develop ideas from concept to an executable plan
  • Background and experience managing complex data projects
  • Ability to work cross functionally in a collaborative environment to ensure initiatives meet mutually agreed upon desired results between business lines and functional areas
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills – ability to convey a broad array of information, issues and recommendations succinctly & accurately
  • Strong business planning, organizing, prioritizing and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
