Responsibilities 

We are seeking a Network Operations Change Manager to manage all technical change implementation for 24x7 mission-critical networks used by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in support of more than 45,000 users. As a member of our team, you will help to ensure the reliability and security of this FIPS security categorized “High” network.

The Network Operations Team is responsible for enterprise network services, facilities network, wireless services, data center network services, and colocation network services. The Network Operations Team will work alongside the Architecture Team (responsible for enterprise network architecture and design) and Security Team (responsible for enterprise network security).

In this role, you will directly support the Operations Section Manager (responsible for overall network operations delivery) and the Network Operations and Data Center Operations engineering teams.

The role’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Execute Network Change Management processes to coordinate, review, and control all network services changes in collaboration with government and project stakeholders
• Prepare change management requests
• Support routine and ad hoc change requests
• Develop and execute change management plans
• Provide data call or audit reports
• Deliver weekly change management reports

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
• At minimum 5 years of experience in an IT Change Management Lead role
• Strong knowledge of change management processes
• Knowledge of and experience managing change related to network services
• Outstanding written and oral communications skills
• Must be able to gain a government Public Trust clearance

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with and knowledge of the NIH operational environment and network infrastructure
• ITIL Certification
• Practical application of current/emergent technologies, agile IT, ITIL and continuous improvement practices and techniques
• Possess a basic network certification
