Position Title: Assembler

Wage: $17.50-$19.77 per hour

Shift: 1st, 2nd

Hours: 6:30am-2:30pm; 3:00pm-11:00pm

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assemble parts, subassemblies, and assemblies per specifications.
- Properly position, align, secure, fi and fasten components.
- Route and connect cables, tubes, hoses, and writing.
- Cut and fit components for custom parts.
- Disassemble units to replace parts.
- Operate forklift and overhead hoists to transport or position large/heavy components.
- Understand and apply rigging principles "only after completing training".
- Properly use stationary power tools, portable power tools, and small hand tools (drill, tap, torque, torque monitoring, rivet, hammer, ream, saw, cut, grind, countersink, and similar processes).
- Inspect, verify, and adjust components as well as completed units to ensure conformance to all specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements. This includes properly using precision measuring, instruments such as calipers, tapes, digital multimeters etc. and documenting results as required.
- Rework, repair, and replace damaged components or assemblies.
- Complete and submit applicable documentation.
- Appropriately use solvents, cleaners, adhesives, lubricants, and touchup paint as directed.
- Train coworkers (new hires, personnel from other departments, temporary employees) as required.

Requirements:
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, stoop, and kneel on the frequent basis, often for extended periods of time.
- Ability to reach, push, pull, climb, and work at various heights.
- Ability to work in constricted spaces.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away.
- High/finger dexterity to grasp and manipulate small parts and tools.
- Hand/eye coordination.
- Ability to recognize colors as well as see clearly at a distance and up close.
- Stamina to work 10 to 12 hour shifts plus overtime.
- Production environment is well lit, moderately heated, but not air conditioned.
- Work assignments may be both indoors (primarily) and outdoors (occasionally) as required.
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
