Kelly Services is hiring for a Crew Leader position with a well-respected manufacturing company in Springfield, MO. This is a full-time permanent or Temp-to-Hire opportunity!
Direct Hire or Temp to hire opportunity
Pay $25.00 per hour
-Ensures overall performance of the team to include quality, safety, reliability, waste and sanitation to achieve business goals.
-Pro-actively encourages continuous improvement and daily problem-solving initiatives to increase operational effectiveness and efficiencies.
-Coaches, trains, and ensures compliance to plant established procedures (including work rule, safety and sanitation guidelines) while demonstrating a deep respect for the capabilities of all people.
-Ensures that all activities follow documented operating procedures and recommends updates to existing procedures as required.
-Coordinates & schedules crew vacation requests & overtime.
-Determines needs and conducts training required for new & existing employees.
-Ensures product meets quality standards, coordinates problem solving directly with QA floor inspector.
-Resolves minor mechanical and processing problems and makes necessary adjustments to keep line running.
-Performs job tasks of other team members of jobs of equal or lower grades.
-Facilitates teamwork and coaching among team members.
-Holds meetings for production tracking, problem solving and team development.
-High school diploma or equivalent required.
-Three years of manufacturing and/or industrial experience required.
-Demonstrated ability to perform changeovers and preventative maintenance on all production equipment required.
-Demonstrated ability to diagnose mechanical problems and resolve minor mechanical and processing problems required.
-Demonstrated ability to understand financial impact of business decision affecting staffing, product components and inventory required.
-Demonstrated computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, statistical database applications & Lotus Notes required.
-Demonstrated ability to pro-actively encourage continuous improvement and daily problem solving initiatives required.
-Proven ability to coach, train and influence while demonstrating a deep respect for the capabilities of all people required.
-Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required
-Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking skills to determine risk assessment required.
-Ability to work overtime/weekends required.
-Knowledge of SAP, Infinity, Power Point, Access preferred.
-Demonstrated practice of leadership principles required and formal leadership training strongly preferred.
-Demonstrated competency to operate all equipment in the business strongly preferred.
-Experience effectively leading and facilitating team and cross-functional meetings strongly preferred.
