The position will assist with the management of the daily golf operations including managing and tracking play, protecting and controlling assets, supervising golf staff, assisting with all merchandising functions, managing tournaments, teaching lessons, and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.
-Completed the requirements of PGA membership and maintain an active classification in The PGA of America.
-Supervise and manage the total golf operations in a professional and efficient manner in the absence of the Head Golf Professional.
-Provide excellent customer services, professional advice and assistance to all patrons. Make normal loops around the golf course to check on patrons and pace of play.
-Control and manage play; ensure member/guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with the starter.
-Provide golf instruction and clinics that are consistent with instructional methods, policies and procedures.
-Supervise, schedule and train golf shop personnel, starter/rangers and cart attendants as directed by the Head Professional and the policies of the club.
-Assist with the annual employee evaluations.
-Approve weekly timecards of golf staff.
-Supervise the snack bar under direction of Head Golf Professional.
-Assist in the merchandising of the golf shop to include: buying, display, pricing and inventory and selling. Keeps shop supplies inventoried and stocked to needed levels.
-Manage tournaments and outings as directed by Head Golf Professional.
-Keep informed on and promote all club activities and services.
-Represent FGCC in Section, Chapter tournaments and Pro-Ams.
-Open and close golf shop as needed.
-Aide member/guests by providing and interpreting policies, rules and regulations of the club.
-Work with all departments to assure that member and guest expectations are consistently exceeded. Assist other courses as needed.
-High School Diploma or GED
-Must have completed all requirements for PGA Membership
-TN valid drivers license
-Computer literate in Microsoft Office Software
-Active listening skills and ability to articulate information both verbally and in writing
-Normal speech, hearing, and vision, lifting of 50 pounds. (more with assistance)
-Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously; maintain composure when dealing with stressful situations; absolute confidentiality required.
