Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of The Mansion at Glen Cove (“GCM”) kitchen with the goal of streamlining the turnaround of the kitchen’s china and silverware, while upholding high level of kitchen tidiness and organization
Maintain a clean workspace, show up on time for work, provide other employees with assistance in the kitchen as needed and follow all sanitary and health-related protocols
Set up and clean dish machines; break down and clean dish machines
Secure dishwashing station and kitchen equipment by adhering to proper storage and handling procedures established by GCM’s culinary team
Clean all prep equipment including glassware, silverware, ceramicware according to the department of health’s (DOH) sanitation standards
Maintain the line and prep areas throughout the work shift by organizing, cleaning and wiping all surfaces
Ensure proper operation and cleaning of dish machines
Wash and clean all glassware, flatware, china, hollowware and kitchen small wares
Stack carefully and properly prepare all glassware, flatware, china, hollowware and kitchen small wares Use appropriate method to clean, either by hand or machine, all flatware, glassware, china, hollowware, and kitchen small wares and heavy equipment
Ensure proper storage of flatware, glassware, china, hollowware, and kitchen small wares and heavy equipment
Responsible for the inventory of all flatware, glassware, china, holloware, and kitchen small wares and heavy equipment
Maintain cleanliness of all work areas, up to and including outside (lawn events)
Maintain a clear and safe work environment by clearing up spills quickly and safely throughout the facilities and keeping walkways and work spaces clear of obstruction
Empty and clean trash receptacles, and other duties as needed
Maintain the proper flow of equipment and personnel in back of house (BOH) areas
