Kitchen Night Cleaner, Big Meadows Lodge

The Opportunity 

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring Kithcen Night Cleaners to work in our kitchen at Big Meadows Lodge in Shenandoah National Park, Virgina. As a Night Cleaner, you will ensure our kitchen is properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for next day service.

Some location may implement a vaccination requirement in the future if required by federal, state, local law.

 

Kitchen Night Cleaners at Shenandoah start at $13.00/hour!

We offer great perks for our eligible Shenandoah associates: 

• $250 Sign-on bonus (paid after 30 days)

• $5/workday bonus (paid on completion of work agreement), max of 100 days

• FREE shift meal

Responsibilities 

• Thoroughly cleans kitchen according to department procedures.
• Empties trashcansand transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Reports maintenance repair problems to Supervisor.
• Follows proper procedures to use dish machine, including ensuring the machine is clean and in proper working order.
• Sorts and pre-soaks silverware before washing.
• Scrubs all soup cups, bowls and plates to remove heavy soiled items.
• Takes clean items back to appropriate storage area.
• Does any extra cleaning that time allows.
• Completely sweeps all floors after a food service period.
• At the end of shift, cleans and washes out machine and wipes down all counters and surrounding areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications 

• Limited to no experience required; previous commercial cleaning and/or guest service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow direction and instructions.
• Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations.

Physical Requirements 

• Frequent walking and standing for entire length of shift.
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying.
• Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing duties.
