An award-winning health system in Connecticut is looking for an Associate Director of Molecular Pathology to join their team. 

This 950 bed hospital is ranked one of the top rate hospitals in the State of Connecticut and is one of the largest teaching hospitals in New England. This teaching hospitals provides a wide range of services including cardiovascular, transplant, weight loss, behavioral health, long-term care, oncology, digestive health, maternal care, laboratory, and much more. 

Their team is looking for a skilled Associate Director of Molecular Pathology to work along-side the Division Director to supervise the development and implementation of clinical molecular assays and the introduction on new technologies. The Associate Director will have responsibility of interpreting and reporting clinical cases in molecular diagnostics and assist with essay design, feasibility studies, and clinical validation consistent with all regulatory guidelines. The Associate Director will also attend conferences and meetings to provide educational activities such as talks and rotations for the technologists, pathology residents, and fellows. 

Requirements:

  • PhD in Molecular Pathology or relevant field
  • 1 year of proven clinical laboratory experience in diagnostic review and reporting, molecular assay design, validation, and implementation compliant with CLIA and CAP guidelines
  • ABMGG board certified/eligible in Molecular Genetics and Genomics or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG)
  • Must obtain Board certification within 2 testing cycles
