Job Description:
Pay Rate: $26.35 per hour

The Delivery Driver Trainee is a full-time position that allows a prospective candidate, with little to no experience operating a Class-A CDL motor vehicle, the opportunity to go attend CDL school and a obtain their CDL-A license. As part of our continued investment in our employees, we will pay the full CDL school tuition to help grow our Delivery Driver Trainees career with Pepsi! While attending CDL school, Delivery Driver Trainees will work on trucks alongside professional delivery drivers to learn the product delivery process. The Delivery Driver Trainees will assist the Driver with unloading the truck, delivering product from truck-to-store and merchandising product at various accounts. Upon successful completion of the program, it is intended, based on availability at completion of the training that the Delivery Driver will transition to a local delivery driver role pending they have successfully obtained their CDL-A license.

Job Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 21 years or older
  • Pass physical capabilities test (if applicable)
  • Pass DOT physical
  • CDL Learner's Permit
  • For current employees, endorsement from current supervisor and no prior discipline in the past six months of employment, above the written warning level


HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
  • Operating trucks requiring a CDL license (e.g., performing basic functions like driving forwards, driving backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces, etc.)
  • Merchandising products (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive on shelves, rotating product, cleaning shelves, or eliminating out of stocks and out of date products, etc.)
  • Operating equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks, breakdowns, etc.)
