Position Title: Production Supervisor 3rd shift

Position Purpose/Summary: The Production Supervisor manages work processes and associates within the Department on designated shifts.

Up to 120

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities (minimum)

Education: High School Degree or GED Equivalent

Experience (years and topics):

At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisor role

Minimum of 4 years working in a manufacturing environment

Technology/Software (years):

Moderate PC and ERP capabilities

Communication:       

Communication skills in English.  Spanish as a 2nd language preferred.

Strong motivating and team building skills (mentoring and coaching)

Physical Capabilities

Strength: Must be able to regularly lift 55 lbs.

Movement: Must be able to stand / walk for an entire eight hour shift. Occasional bending, crouching, and crawling

Hearing: Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment

Vision: Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly

Position Responsibilities-Tasks-Deliverables

All duties as assigned and the following specific activities.

Enforce Hazardous Material Handling Procedures and oversee Initial and Annual Training

Manage and supervise all production associates 

Execute the schedule to keep all production lines running to meet customer needs

Responsible for the work flow and developing the (line leads) to take ownership of the line.

Monitor change-over’s and set-up’s to reduce down-time

Exercise team attitude with peers on alternate shifts to ensure they have a smooth shift start

Support cGMP by holding associates to required standards

Monitor training to make sure new hires, temps, and department transfers understand their responsibility.

Able to diagnose and correct problems within department and communicate issues cross functionally

Change agent to support strategic initiatives around safety, quality, cost and on time service

Responsible for executing Performance Evaluations for department associates.

Expected to be exposed to/trained in handling hazardous materials with annual refresher training.
