Designing and delivering a range of advanced service provider device and data management solutions, CommScope Professional Services is looking for a passionate and skilled individual to expand and strengthen the Professional Services software development and delivery team.

A dynamic Engineer is required to contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of in-house platform systems used for the delivery of solutions to Service Providers.

The opportunity is with the CommScope Assurance Professional Services software development group responsible for the implementation and delivery of complete enterprise scale solutions within a structured commercial professional services environment.

Development range from customized device management platform delivery through third party software integrations using up-to-date delivery technologies directly to Service Provider datacenters or to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to a Professional Services Software Manager the successful candidate will have responsibility for the design, development and delivery of a diverse set of customizations and feature developments to in-house Java based platforms using a diverse set of technologies for a variety of customer requirements, opportunities and critical initiatives.

The successful candidate will be part as a key member of the Systems Engineering Software development teams.

Self-start and self-motivate when delivering smaller project solutions as well as collaborate as a contributing team member when working on larger projects.

Actively and demonstrably drive software quality processes and continuous improvement in solutions deliveries by understanding and adopting disciplined development processes.

Innovate where practicable while maintaining a strategic outlook in all developments.

Authentically contribute to decisions and resolutions.

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience coupled with of 5-7 years of experience in enterprise Java software development.

Current and proven experience of successfully delivering Java enterprise solutions.

Detailed understanding of enterprise software solutions and development principles, and delivery processes in complex, multi-stream, multi-site environments.

Proven understanding of the software and solution quality processes required to deliver high quality technological solutions. This is a critical requirement.

Demonstrable interpersonal skills for effective communications with project teams and colleagues.

Up-to-date knowledge of enterprise deployment technologies for on-premises and cloud-based solutions.

5+ years of Java backend software development using Spring Boot, Dropwizard, Hibernate.

Proficient with Python development and scripting for JVM, API development.

Experience in developing above application types in containerized environments, specifically Docker.

Writing functional and unit cases for code developed, using one or more of; JUnit, Gradle/Maven Integration Test Runners, Test Containers, Cucumber, Selenium, Robot framework.

software development integrating to message bus technologies such as AMQP, gRPC, and, database intergations using JDBC.

REST and SOAP API development.

Experience with Docker and Docker Compose to automate testing and development environment setups.
