ShiftDay Shift, Monday-Friday

The role you’ll contribute:

Responsible for the establishment and supervision of services provided by the Employee Health Departments in the Central Florida North Region.  Coordinates the Workers’ Compensation program for AdventHealth with the servicing agency. Manages work related employee injuries/illnesses in the facility in order to minimize time lost from work and to act as liaison for AdventHealth Workers’ Compensation Adjusters in the administration of workers’ compensation benefits. Functions as a Creation Health Wellness Site Champion and assist with the coordination of the activities for the Creation Health Coaches based on the 8 Creation Health principles to encourage co-workers to participate in a culture if wellness. 

 

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the Employee Health Department and the Workers’ Compensation program for AdventHealth.
  • Establish and implement appropriate staffing and hours of operation to suit both the needs of the department and the customers served to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care as defined by the facilities standards of care,.
  • Develop and manage the Employee Health and Workers’ Compensation budget to include supply and drug expenditures as well as contract expenses for drug screens and the PEN exposure hotline service.
  • Hires, trains, and provides development opportunities and assignment of tasks to the employee health staff.
  • Prepares and presents employee evaluations and in a timely manner. Conducts follow-up sessions with the employee to review progress and provide assistance as needed
Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Previous management experience required.
  • Current Florida RN nursing license required
  • Certification required in:  CPR. 
  • Possess a valid Florida driver’s license in good standing with current automobile insurance.
