Home Instead in Zanesville is looking for a full-time HR Supervisor & Retention Specialist to join our growing HR team. Home Instead is proud of our positive culture and low CAREGiver turnover.

The HR Supervisor & Retention Specialist plays a key role in maintaining our excellent reputation as the employer of choice in our area, ensuring a positive CAREGiver experience. CAREGivers are our most important asset, and this position helps ensure that our CAREGivers always feel recognized, encouraged, and connected to our office staff.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimize turnover by reflecting our positive culture and ensuring a positive CAREGiver experience
  • Work with Training Department to identify areas for on-going CAREGiver training and development
  • Schedule and conduct CAREGiver performance reviews, on-going coaching and performance management
  • Recognize and reward CAREGivers for work milestones and exceptional CAREGiving
  • Organize and conduct CAREGiver celebrations
  • Interview, screen and onboard new CAREGivers
  • Participate in local community events
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to ensure hiring goals are consistently met
  • Reflect the core values of Grey Havens LLC, dba Home Instead, an independently owned and operated Home Instead Franchise
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with CAREGivers, clients, office, and on-call staff.

Candidates must display:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills
  • Ability to maintain strong attention to detail while managing frequent interruptions
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and good decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to listen effectively, give constructive feedback and guide difficult conversations to a positive outcome
  • Exude positivity, compassion and enjoy being creative

Education/Experience Requirement:

  • Recruiting and/or HR experience required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Senior care industry experience and/or college degree a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a professional office environment.
