Job Description
CVS Health, a Fortune 4 company, is seeking an experienced consultant or healthcare strategist for our Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) division. Working from home, the Senior Manager owns the end-to-end development of strategic, market-specific insights and recommendations for the PBM's ACA Exchange and Medicaid health plan clients.

The Senior Manager is responsible for collecting, analyzing and distributing Medicaid insights to support RFP submissions and health plan strategies, as well as Exchange market competitive intelligence to inform ACA product design, pricing, market selection and sales and marketing strategies. The Senior Manager performs in-depth research on target markets, competitors, states and other factors as requested by internal business partners and health plan clients.

Competitive intelligence sources may include publicly available datasets (such as exchange public-use files maintained by CMS), competitor product offerings and premiums, state and federal regulatory filings and sales team competitive intelligence.

You will work on topics of highly complex scope, requiring the exercise of independent judgment and application of an expert level of subject matter expertise with limited oversight, often requiring evaluation of multiple competing factors across functional areas.

Essential functions:
• Market analysis: Gather, analyze and translate data into executive-ready, actionable market insights that influence and inform all levels of health plan leadership.
• Opportunity assessment: Leverage data and knowledge of Medicaid and Exchange industry and competitive environment to inform growth assumptions.
• Produce deliverables: Create PowerPoint decks that clearly communicate business story and key takeaways, as well as present insights and recommendations directly to health plan client executives. Act as point person for content and structure thinking.
• Subject matter expert (SME): Serve as a SME for clients and internal business leaders and team. This includes staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, and how they may affect the PBM and our clients.

Skill requirements:
• Strong quantitative and executive presentation skills
• Detail oriented, ability to work in "gray areas' towards a solution
• Ability to organize, analyze and synthesize large sets of data to influence strategic decisions
• Ability to effectively develop and present insights-driven content to health plan leaders, spurring interactive dialogue
• Excellent communications skills: written, verbal and video
• Self-starter with an intellectual curiosity, motivated to keep moving forward and find new ways to solve challenging and complex business issues
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing processes and timelines
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Tableau and PowerPoint
• Demonstrates strong working knowledge of key health plan business functions and capabilities, CMS and state healthcare regulations, and ACA exchange market structure and market trends
• Ability to collaborate cross functionally among Sales, Clinical, Product, Regulatory Affairs, Actuary, etc., to assure successful and comprehensive analysis and insights

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 75,400
Maximum: 158,300

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in business analytics, business development, market intelligence role, or comparable business experience
• Healthcare industry experience
• Ability to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in ACA Exchange and/or Medicaid
• Relevant industry experience for a large, matrixed organization
• Product Strategy experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or relevant discipline or equivalent experience required
• MBA or other master's degree strongly preferred
