Job Title Robotics Technician

Job Summary: The Robotics Technician will install, alter, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, control, and robotics/automation equipment systems in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies.
  • Observe, evaluate and resolve any issues and opportunities related to the robotic components within facility.
  • Assist in the performing all scheduled maintenance duties according to the PM Schedule.
  • Assist the Maintenance Technician in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repair of machinery during downtime or breakdown situations when necessary.
  • Read and understand drawings and schematics as needed.
  • Commit to keeping high standards of food safety and product quality.
  • Know and practice proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Working with and operating many different hand and power tools on a daily basis is possible.
  • Perform all pre-production set-up activities in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support product development and improvement by discussing equipment needs and modifications with Plant Engineer and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision or as part of a team of Technicians
  • Participate in training or continuing education programs to enhance industry knowledge and techniques.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Associates, Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a fast-paced production environment and experience with automated machinery is preferred.
  • Ability to work all levels of electrical voltage; single and three phase motors.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems.
  • Ability to understand and navigate through PLC and servo motor drive control software.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC programming is preferred.
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of industrial robotic equipment in a high speed application in food industry is preferred.
  • Computer experience - Google Suite, Leading 2 Lean.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment of continuous change and challenges.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends according to schedule.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or process is a plus.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.
