The Radiology Technologist reports to the Translation Team Lead.  Primary duties include delivering unsurpassed urological services to its physicians, patients, and facilities through knowledge in the operation and functions of the lithotripter, c-arm, and related equipment to locate, target and treat calculi

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ARRT Certification is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet DOT qualifications.
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 80+lbs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with management, staff members, and peers.

 

KEY RESULTS AREAS (KRAs) 

  • Sets up the equipment and calibrates the lithotripter to the c-arm.
  • Tests the equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Complies with all internal procedures and protocols of the hospitals and facilities.
  • Directs the placement of the patient onto the treatment table, and questions the patient for any contraindications.
  • Assists physician in operation of the equipment during the treatment.
  • Documents all lithotripsy treatment data in designated software systems; make a copy available for the patient chart, the treating physician, and the hospital business office, if required.
  • Complies with NextMed HIPAA and client hospital HIPAA policies and procedures when handling patient data.
  • Performs routine maintenance on equipment; immediately reports all damage and mechanical failures to the home office.
  • Ensures equipment is kept secure, clean, dry and protected from inclement weather and temperatures.
  • Participates in all required training and continuing education curriculum for Radiology Technologists.
  • Reviews and submits expense reports according to company standard operating procedures.
  • Meets with designated Translational Team regularly.
  • Actively engages in the performance review process, which includes self-evaluations and narratives that contribute to our performance and cultural success for the company.
  • Completes other tasks as assigned.
