The Register/Cashier Service Crew position is responsible for ringing orders into the POS, accepting payment and wishing all guests to enjoy their meal. But their job is much more than that. They talk to the guest and represent the spirit of what BEEF A ROO is all about. A friendly, smiling face and above & beyond guest service is the standard!
Cashier Shift Duties
- Listening and communicating with the other service and kitchen team members and the guest.
- Engaging the guest while accurately entering order in POS.
- Providing the guest with the total amount due and taking payment.
- Ensuring all steps are taking in the checkout process.
- Ensuring order accuracy, quality, and quantity.
- Operates the POS cash register correctly. Accurately accounts for every order.
- Receives cash, charge, and check transactions in accordance with restaurant procedures.
- Provides guests with appropriate receipt for each transaction.
- Provides and initiates assistance for guests as needed.
- Maintains adequate stock of paper forms for the cash register area and notifies management when additional supplies are needed.
- Trains new cashiers on approved Company procedures.
- Places cash and transaction records into safe areas in accordance with restaurant procedures
- Completes guest transactions: suggest additional items to guests, as appropriate; asks about other items needed/of interest.
- Provides guests with beverages cup.
- Can confirm and input orders from all online ordering partners.
- Reports any problems or discrepancies to Team Leader or Restaurant Manager.
- Ensuring the guest receives the Exceptional Guest Experience!

Hourly Expectations
- Variable hours per week.
- Some nights, weekends, holidays.
- Checking on the dining room/restrooms/ and guests.
