Overview Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Across all levels the registered professional nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing care of their assigned patients. This team member is also responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel. The position requires knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of nursing care. Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative associations, along with management and supervisory skills are inherent in the position. The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. The primary method to express or exchange ideas is through the spoken word. Written, telephone, and manual dexterity skills are required for this position. Typical surgeries include cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgeries such as Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts, Valve replacement, lung surgery/thorocotomy, VATS, Carotid Endartectomy, Aortic Abdominal Aneurysm repair, vascular bypass, etc are seen in the CVOR. Would consider an OR nurse with 1 year experience both scrubbing and circulating. Join our team and unlock your potential! Qualifications * RN Licensure with Reciprocity in the state of Virginia * BLS for the Healthcare Provider CPR * 1+ year CVOR RN experience required Responsibilities * Actively participates in working towards the organizational and departmental goals for providing exceptional patient experiences. * Collaborates with patient and healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and/or evaluate patient's plan of care. * Assures quality of care by adhering to industry standards and measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and benchmarks. * Consistently assesses, identifies and addresses patient's educational needs and barriers to learning. * Maintains safe working environment and patient safety by complying with hospital policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. * Demonstrates knowledge and technical skills to perform all duties required to care for patients.
