Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: Baltimore MD
Duration: Permanent
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, quantitative studies preferred (e.g., computer science, math, economics, statistics, etc.)
- Two to four (2-4) years working in a software development role
- Experience shipping readable, modular, reusable code to users
- Deep understanding of web application architecture and computer science principles
- Mastery of at least one programming language (C/Ruby/Python/JavaScript is a plus)
- Comprehensive understanding of database design and development, across both SQL and No-SQL technologies
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly, and write intelligently
- Self-starter who can take an idea from whiteboard to production
Required Skills:
- Node.JS / JavaScript (Familiarity with Express, Grunt/Gulp, and Java/C)
- MongoDB (Experience with Redis is a plus)
- Amazon Web Services (DynamoDB, EC2)
- GitHub
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Experience with consumer lending and underwriting a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
