Admissions Specialist - Full-time

This position is responsible for the intake and assessments of patients. Receive orders from the physician at intake. Assist with the operational aspects of the referral and authorization process. Enters into the computer system authorizations and orders to ensure patient is fit for OHP from a physical, mental and financial aspect. Reviews all information from the patients insurance company and physician orders and documentation.This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $5,000.

RESPONSIBILITIES STANDARDS & OBJECTIVES

Timely and accurately taking orders from physician for patient intake.

As necessary, completes all documents needed for assessments

Ensures patients assessment is timely and accurate.

Assists in being the liaison between the intake department and the hospital units staff.

As necessary, collects statistical information for the DON.

As necessary, assists families with getting proper information about intake.

As necessary, develops procedural documentation for position tasks.

As needed, assists in completing intake audits and reviewing the deficiency tracking system.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED:

• Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse
• Licensed in the State as a Master Level Social Worker
• Experience working with the psychiatric population
• Experience working with the addiction population
