A healthcare network in Florida is currently seeking a newLaboratory Director - IVF for a promising Remote position as part of theirSenior Management Team. In this role, theLaboratory Director - IVF (Remote) will be responsible fordesigning a state of the art ART Lab, obtaining regulatory approval, recruiting the staff and getting the ART Lab, Andrology Lab and Diagnostics Lab operational.


Responsibilities:



TheLaboratory Director - IVF (Remote)will:

  • Oversee that IVF, Andrology and Diagnostics functions in the clinic

  • Lead an ambitious research program to improve success rates at the clinic

  • Workwith the Digital team to develop AI tools

  • Implement all aspects of the routine embryology and andrology services offered by our clinic, talking patients through the process and ensuring that they receive the best service possible

  • Oversee routine laboratory & clinic administration, ensuring adherence to Accreditation requirements and utilization of correct policies and procedures

  • Stay abreast of the latest research and evidence in their field to ensure that the clinic is able to offer cutting edge treatments to improve pregnancy outcomes

  • Perform other duties, as needed



Qualifications:




  • 7+years of hands on experience in human IVF field.

  • Masters degree in Biology or Laboratory Science

  • Certified/accredited or eligible for certification and accreditation by the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society as Clinical Laboratory Director in both Andrology and Embryology

  • Extensive knowledge and practical skills with Andrology and Embryology procedures and hands on experience in all aspects of ART including gamete cryopreservation

  • Extensive knowledge of planning, design and implementation of procedural systems, laboratory instrumentation, methodology and safety; statistics and computer applications (word processor, spreadsheets, graphics, statistics).

  • Extensive knowledge of existing regulations and legislation regarding human assisted conception.

  • Extensive knowledge of the operations of an ART Laboratory, Quality & Risk Managementand Improvement principles and practices

  • Basic knowledge of Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Microbiology as they relate to assisted human conception.

  • Basic understanding of Budgetary and Resource Management processes

  • Strong cognitive, analytical and problem-solving skills and decision making

  • Great interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Highly organized


Desired Skills:


  • PhD Degree in Biology and/or the Biological Sciences
