We are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA.

Ideal candidate would have strong hands-on experience in ETL tools, data analysis, data profiling and building data models. Extremely proficient in designing high performing complex queries to gather large amount of data across multiple data sources in order to meet the reporting requirements. We especially need your experience with streaming technologies like DMS, Kinesis; NoSQL environments like DynamoDB; data processing using ETL tools like Informatica and Alteryx.

The Senior Data Engineer will work with their associated delivery teams to solution projects on the cloud (AWS) or on-premise and builds Data pipelines, Data models, queries, etc. to implement capabilities and features, improve performance and maintainability, while reducing technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps. As a fully functioning scrum team member, the Senior Data Engineer would be involved in full SDLC and is expected to contribute towards the design, development, and CI/CD operations with respect to Data.

Technologies We Use:

AWS; Kinesis; NoSQL environments like DynamoDB, Relational Databases Oracle, RDS Postgres; Snowflake; ETL via DMS, Kinesis, Glue, Informatica, Alteryx, Observability via Splunk, Datadog and New Relic, JasperSoft & Tableau Reporting application

Responsibilities:

o Works with Product Management to understand the challenges that customers and end users face in their day-to-day work and partner with them to design viable solutions.

o Recommends viable solutions to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team and reduce technical debt.

o Foresees capacity requirements for component usage and identifies limitations.

o Provides input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning.

o Contributes to product and solution designs to address critical issues and complex problems.

o Builds software applications across multiple platforms in response to the needs of stakeholders.

o Understands technical architecture and writes software and automated tests that are aligned with agreed upon standards.

o Performs trouble-shooting efforts and investigations when necessary.

o Provides ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products.

o Actively works with less experienced software engineers providing technical guidance and oversight.

o Actively participates in the engineering community, staying up to date on new software and data technologies and best practices and shares insights with others in the organization.

Qualifications

o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years experience

o 4+ years of working experience in High volume, Data centric applications

o 4+ years of experience in performing data analysis, data profiling and building data models using Snowflake Data Warehouse or equivalent. A solid experience and understanding of large-scale data and analytics solutions on Data Warehouse is a must

o Proficient with Data Analysis and Data modeling tools

o Professional knowledge of AWS Databases and Data Warehouse solutions

o Passion for analysis and focus on business results. Entrepreneurial mindset.

o Experience in Snowflakes SnowSQL and writing SQL queries against Snowflake

o Understanding of data science and product management

o Effective written, listening and oral communications.

o Collaborative nature and the ability to balance vision and execution.

o Proficient with Data Analysis, data profiling and building data models using modern data modeling tools

o Worked with large scale data and analytics solutions on Data Warehouse

o Proficiency in Oracle, PL/SQL, Data Modelling and Data Analysis.

o Professional knowledge of AWS Databases and Data Warehouse solutions
